I teach short courses in botanical illustration/painting gardens as well as wildlife and related subjects, running my own private classes once a month in Capel Dewi, just outside Carmarthen. I am happy to teach both beginners and those with some experience who would like to improve their skills in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Late Summer Flowers -
Capturing the rich vibrant colours found in many late flowering garden plants; learn to create depth using light and shade while maintaining clear, clean tones.
Painting Fungi -
There is huge variety of form and texture in fungi, from soft and velvety to smooth
and slimy, discover how to depict these in watercolour -
Painting a late Autumn harvest -
Paint a colourful composition showing natures bounty, with garden and bought produce, wild berries and autumn leaves. Bring along some of your own to add to the subject matter provided.
Botanical Painting -
Botanical style painting class using cut flowers and pot plants as subjects.
Painting Daffodils and other yellow flowers -
Capture the shape and clear vibrant tones of yellow found in Daffodils and learn how to avoid muddy tones while shading to create depth.
Botanical Painting -
Learn the techniques used in Botanical illustration. Suitable for all skill levels as teaching will be individual to each student.
