I teach short courses in botanical illustration/painting gardens as well as wildlife and related subjects, running my own private classes once a month in Capel Dewi, just outside Carmarthen. I am happy to teach both beginners and those with some experience who would like to improve their skills in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

First Steps in Botanical Painting - Sunday 18th July

Exploring the techniques used to produce a realistic plant portrait from the initial observation and pencil drawing through to the finished painting in watercolour.

Painting Autumn Leaves and Berries - Saturday 30th October

Capture the vibrant colours of Autumn foliage and the delicate forms of seed capsules on paper using watercolour. Suits all levels.

Painting Fruit and Vegetables  - Saturday 13th November

A day spent learning the techniques required to achieve a three dimensional portrayal of fruit and vegetable subjects with convincing texture and form. Suits all levels.
